Hello:
After getting Pachyderm 2.0 installed on my Windows XP laptop, I've been
trying different things to see if I can figure out why my Pachyderm 2.0
pages are not getting formatted with the style sheets, and I have not
succeeded yet. I wonder if you have additional suggestions? I have
never configured Apache before, so I may have something set incorrectly,
but not sure what else to try.
Here is my current status:
-- Followed the instructions from Rachel/Craig to install and configure
everything. I adjusted based on only having a C drive, and I changed my
Skype options to not use port 80 and 443. Also adjusted the apdefaults
table, first with IP address for the 3 values noted; latest with my
machine's DNS name since I'm often using wireless and the IP address
varies. I can run Pachyderm, add media, search for media, create and
publish a presentation -- just don't have the initial and authoring
pages formatted properly (so its a little hard to use ;-)
-- Apache install location has "pachyderm" and "resources" folders under
the installed location, and I checked permissions:
C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs
-- When I installed the Apache service, I used the following command:
*C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\bin>httpd -k
install*
-- Apache config file C:/Program Files/Apache Software
Foundation/Apache2.2conf/httpd.config has these values updated for my
installation:
ServerRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2"
Listen 80
ServerName D7WBTWB1.virginia.edu:80
DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs"
<Directory "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs">
<Directory "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/cgi-bin">
-- I made sure permissions were set for my login user to access the
folders and files under "C:/Program Files/Apache Software
Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs", which includes the css and icons.
-- From Joshua: "...find out where Apache is referencing for html files
by default..."
Would this be according to the properties set in the apache config file,
the paths noted above?
Thanks for any further guidance. I'll keep exploring, just thought
there might be something you think of.
Cindy
