Stafflink-L was created to enhance communication among staff from all over campus. Appropriate postings for this list include: general questions about campus or campus events, activities, etc.; soliciting solutions to problems encountered on the job, rumor control, organizing activities, announcements; volunteer opportunities; and other things such as carpooling, personal things to sell for a small amount or letting people know you have puppies to give away.
You may not use this list to provide access to subscribers of Stafflink to non-employees. This includes members of your family.
Also, do not provide any non-employees access to this list for marketing purposes or to promote specific products/services/businesses to the list as a whole.
Thank you for following these guidelines.
We hope this forum will help us get to know people from outside our specific areas and promote a unified feeling among the staff at SSU.“

Giving access to the list to someone outside of the university, e.g. My friend/church/non-profit/children’s school has/does/wants. . . this pertains even to fundraising by outside groups.
We recognize there are many good causes, but we cannot allow people from off campus access to Stafflink. It is a state resource for employee benefit only.
Conflict of Interest:
According to the Political Reform Act, you have a financial interest in a decision if it is reasonable to think that the decision will have a financial effect, different from its effect on the public generally, on you or your immediate family in any of the following interests:
business investments worth $2,000 or more
real property interests worth $2,000 or more
sources of income of $500 or more from the past twelve months
business positions such as director, officer, partner, trustee, employee, or any management position (even if these positions are unpaid)
sources of gifts totaling $460 or more in the past twelve months
If you sell something on Stafflink that is over $500 or you sell things that total over $500 in a year, that is considered income and is a conflict of interest since you are using state resources to gain this income.
It is appreciated that you abide by these guidelines, so that Stafflink can remain an excellent resource for all of us.
Please subscribe as both your firstname.lastname@example.org and your email@example.com addresses. If you do so now, it will prevent problems posting to the list in the future.
